Cliché Skateboards
Cliché was founded in 1997 by French professional skateboarder Jérémie Daclin in Lyon, France, with a clear and ambitious goal — to build a genuine European alternative to the American brands that dominated skateboarding at the time. Rather than relocating to California like so many European pros before him, Daclin stayed in France and built something from the ground up.
From the beginning, Cliché was built on three things: quality photography, European skateboarders and a complete freedom of expression on and off the board. Their debut video Europa in 2000 introduced the world to a new wave of European talent and set the tone for everything that followed — a brand with its own identity, its own aesthetic and its own way of doing things.
Over nearly two decades, Cliché built one of the most respected teams in skateboarding, with riders including Lucas Puig, JB Gillet, Javier Mendizabal and Andrew Brophy. Their decks, built using Resin Hybrid construction with a hardrock and Canadian maple blend, were always designed with performance and longevity in mind.
A true icon of European skateboarding culture.
